Event Description

DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT: Scope of the Programme: Department of Economics, Conducted an awareness programme on world food day on 17/10/2022instead of 16th October. The “theme for year 2022 is Leave NO ONE behind. “ It is observed annually on 16 October to highlight the millions of people worldwide who cannot afford a healthy diet and the need for regular access to nutritious food.         

 The chief guest of the programme Dr.K.Sreeramulu, Principal of the college GCW(A),SKLM  addressed the students on food scarcity and various programmes have implementing in India to achieve food security and reduce poverty and Sri.P.Sankaranarayana, Vice principal, Sri.Ch. Krishnarao, academic coordinator addressed various causes of poverty and scarcity of food and emphasised the role of   students to reduce income inequalities and poverty.
