National Service Scheme

At Our Government College for Women (Autonomous) Srikakulam we take pride in our active involvement in community service through our National Service Scheme (NSS) program. Our NSS initiative is structured into three dynamic units, each dedicated to fostering a spirit of service and social responsibility among students.Each unit is led by a Program Officer (PO) who coordinates and oversees the activities, ensuring effective execution and impactful outcomes. Our POs play a crucial role in guiding volunteers, planning events, and maintaining a high standard of service.

About Units:
Unit 1: Comprising 100 dedicated NSS volunteers, Unit 1 focuses on community outreach programs, health camps, and environmental conservation projects.

Unit 2: With another team of 100 volunteers, Unit 2 engages in educational and empowerment activities, including literacy drives and skill development workshops for underprivileged communities. <

Unit 3: The third unit, also with 100 volunteers, is dedicated to organizing cultural events, social awareness campaigns, and national integration activities.

Key Activities:
1.Community Outreach: Volunteering in local communities to address various social issues and support development initiatives.
2.Health Camps: Organizing health check-ups, awareness programs, and vaccination drives to improve community health.
3.Educational Programs: Conducting workshops, tutoring sessions, and awareness campaigns to promote education and skill-building.
4.Environmental Conservation: Implementing projects for waste management, tree planting, and environmental awareness.
5.Cultural and Social Events:Facilitating events that promote national integration, cultural exchange, and social harmony.
