ADMISSION POLICY
- The College follows a transparent admission process and the Government rules for admission to women from reserved categories.
- Transparency is ensured through the Admission Committee for scrutiny of applications and selection of candidates as well as preparation and display of merit list of the candidates and communication of the same to the students.
- The college in keeping with its vision and mission admits students without reference to their financial status.
- The admission policy is strictly adhere to 85% of the seats in each Course shall be reserved for the local candidates and the remaining 15% of the seats shall be unreserved as specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order, 1974 as subsequently amended (Details enclosed in Annexure-I).
- The College shall grant preferential admission to outstanding achievers in sports/culturals /other extracurricular fields, on a case to case basis.
- The College shall publicise its courses and unique strengths on its website attractively thereby making it easy for potential students to take a decision to join the College.
- The College shall actively promote and advertise through display of Posters in the places around Srikakulam and through News Papers
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
OAMDC (Online Admissions Module for Degree Colleges) is the system adopted by Government College for Women (Autonomous),
Srikakulam for facilitating undergraduate (UG) admissions.
Managed by APSCHE, this platform simplifies the entire admission process for students in degree colleges across Andhra Pradesh.
Key Features:
- Online Application Process: Students can apply for UG programs at multiple colleges,
including Government College for Women (Autonomous), Srikakulam, through the OAMDC platform.
- Web Options: Students can select their preferred courses and colleges through
the web options feature.
- Seat Allotment Results: The OAMDC system allows students to check their seat allotment results
and track the status of their applications.
- Real-time Monitoring: Students can manage and monitor their admission status,
ensuring transparency and ease of access throughout the entire admission process.
The OAMDC platform makes the admission process efficient, transparent, and accessible for students, providing them with a smooth and organized experience when seeking admission to undergraduate programs in colleges within Andhra Pradesh.
Selected candidates should pay the prescribed fees not later than the date mentioned on the Interview Call and produce the following Certificates in Original and Xerox Copy.
- Transfer and Conduct Certificate.
- Intermediate/Matriculation/I.C.S.E. /C.B.S.E. Certificate.
- Statement of Marks and Pass Certificate.
- Migration Certificate of other than SSC Board
- One copy of latest passport-size photograph.
- Photo copy of Caste, Aadhar and Income Certificate.
- An undertaking that the students will not take up any fulltime Job / Course (9 AM to 4 PM) during their course of study in the College.
- A certificate of Physical Fitness from a certified Medical Practitioner.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
UG PROGRAMMES
- The Candidate should be of Indian Nationality.
- The candidate should satisfy ‘local’/’non-local’ status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) Order,1974, as subsequently amended.
- Candidates seeking admission into 1st year B.A./B.Com./B.Com. (Voc.)/B.Com.(Hons)/BSW/BBA/ BBM/ BCA etc Degree Courses must have passed Two Year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, AP OR an Examination of any other University/Board recognized as equivalent thereto, (other than Pre-Degree Course in Oriental Languages of OU), as specified in the Annexure II. (iv) Candidates seeking admission into the B.Sc. 1st Year Course should have passed and secured an aggregate of 40% marks (a Pass only in the case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes candidates) in the concerned Science Subjects (i.e. Physical Sciences and Mathematics OR Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences as the case may be) in the qualifying examination. Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination with Arts/Commerce subjects are NOT ELIGIBLE for admissions into the B.Sc. Course.
PG PROGRAMMES
- Candidates seeking admission for the Masters/Professional Degree Courses shall be required to have passed the qualifying examination prescribed for the course of any University recognized by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Srikakulam as equivalent there to.
